Phase 3 is now in full swing without us even being able to catch our breath from Phase 2. The week started off with us having Monday off for Martin Luther King’s Birthday. This was a much needed break from classes to have some time to shoot some of our assignments.

We started off the week with two guest lecturers. First up, on Monday morning was world-renowned photographer Jay Maisel, and then in the afternoon we had David Turner, former staff photographer for Hearst Publications. We were also in for a big surprise in that David Turner was brought on board as a full-time instructor.

After a much too short break, we were back in full force with new portrait studio and commercial studio classes as well as business and design, and digital imaging classes. This is the last week of Phase 2. After this week we can no longer shoot other students and now must find models for all future shots.
